What size dogs do you accept at Waggy Days 4 Dogs?
I exclusively accept small and toy dog breeds weighing under 10kg. I do not accept medium, large, or giant dog breeds. My own dogs are 4kg and 6kg.
What are the vaccination requirements for dog day care?
All dogs must be fully up-to-date with their standard annual vaccinations, including a vaccination for Kennel Cough or Parainfluenza.
Do you accept puppies for dog day care and home boarding?
I accept puppies over the age of 6 months (26 weeks) as long as they have been vaccinated as per my requirements, and they pass assessment trials.
Do you accept unneutered or unspayed dogs?
I accept unneutered or unspayed dogs if they pass assessment trials and do not demonstrate behaviours that bother other guests (such as humping or mounting).
What areas do you serve for dog day care and boarding?
Waggy Days 4 Dogs is based in Farnborough, Hampshire. Day Care is used by dog owners in Farnborough, Fleet, Cove, Southwood, and the surrounding local areas. Home Boarding is used by dog owners in Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire.
What are your opening hours for day care?
My standard operating hours for dog day care are from 07:30 am to 06:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
Do you offer a day care collection and drop off service?
No, my customers all drop their dogs at my home. You are allocated a time slot and I pick up from the kerbside to save you breaking your journey.
Is Waggy Days 4 Dogs licensed and insured?
Yes. I am fully licensed by Rushmoor Borough Council (License number: 25/00149/AWRHOM) and hold comprehensive business insurance for pet care.
How much does dog day care cost?
Dog day care ranges from £30 to £35 per day, depending on your specific requirements and schedule.
How much does licensed home boarding cost?
Overnight home boarding ranges from £45 to £55 per 24-hour period. Space is strictly limited to ensure that dogs receive individual care and attention.
How do I book a space for my dog?
To secure a slot, contact me via WhatsApp or text. I will arrange an initial chat followed by two mandatory day care trial visits (plus an overnight stay if boarding) to ensure your dog settles in happily.
Do you have resident dogs at Waggy Days 4 Dogs?
Yes. I have three friendly resident dogs who are fully socialised and accustomed to welcoming small guest dogs into our home.
How do you ensure my dog gets along with the resident dogs?
I require two mandatory day care trial visits for all new dogs, and then an overnight trial if you are booking home boarding. This allows me to safely assess their behaviour, temperament, and compatibility with my resident dogs in a controlled home environment.
What should I bring when dropping off my dog for daycare?
Please bring your dog on a secure collar / harness and lead, alongside their regular food (pre-portioned), a lunch snack, and any required medication with clear instructions. Bring a blanket from home if you think it will help them to settle. Pack their coat if the weather looks unpleasant. Dogs must have a clear ID tag attached to their collar or harness.
What should I bring when dropping off my dog for home boarding?
Please bring your dog on a secure collar / harness and lead, plus their regular food (we use scales to weigh portions) and any required medication with clear instructions. Don't forget a daily lunch snack! Bring their bed and blanket for night time. Pack their coat if the weather looks unpleasant. Dogs must have a clear ID tag attached to their collar or harness.
Should I bring my dog's own crate, food bowls, or toys?
No. I provide soft and metal crates (if needed), fresh water bowls, and safe toys. Leaving personal items at home prevents resource guarding and keeps our environment safe.
What does a standard day care visit include?
A standard day care visit includes two walks away from the house, full supervised access to our secure home and garden, structured rest periods, regular toilet breaks, mental stimulation, and continuous companionship.
Will my dog be left unattended during day care?
No. Except for the few minutes needed to collect each dog from your car when you pull up, dogs are fully supervised throughout the day. My home setup ensures that guest dogs are never left unattended, maintaining a high standard of safety and care.
Which veterinary practice do you use for emergencies?
I am registered with Ancells Farm Veterinary Practice, located in Ancells Farm on the edge of Fleet. In the event of a medical emergency, your dog will be taken to your own registered vet practice, or this practice if your vet is unavailable.
What is your emergency "Plan B" accommodation plan?
In accordance with local council licensing requirements, I have a strict emergency evacuation plan. If my home becomes uninhabitable due to an emergency (such as a power cut or burst pipe), I will move my family and all dogs to a family home just a couple of streets away. If this ever happens I will call you so that you know where your dog is at all times.
Are you trained in canine first aid?
Yes. I hold a fully certified, up-to-date qualification in Canine First Aid. This ensures I can quickly and safely manage minor injuries, administer prescribed medications, and stabilise a dog in an emergency situation.
