About Waggy Days 4 Dogs

Many of us think of our dogs as part of the family, and finding the right person to help you take care of them is a difficult task.

I have a Higher Canine Behaviour and Psychology Diploma (OFQUAL Level 3 recognised) as well as a lower level diplomas in Dog Training, Canine Nutrition, and Canine Communication. I also have certificates in Puppy Training and Canine Holistic Therapy.

My professional background is the human and animal health industry for 17 years, in a quality and compliance role.

In quieter periods I run a part-time online Consultancy that helps others to start their journey into the pet care industry. I help them to set up their business and obtain a council trading licence where it is necessary.

Working in the animal health industry has been helpful, but my true passion for animals comes from my home and family. Having dogs, cats and hamsters in the family as a child, I was also a keen horse-rider for many years.

In 2012 Ron arrived, and every day with him is a gift. He is loving, funny and enhances every aspect of my life.

Ron is an English Toy Terrier, and the oldest of my dogs. You may not have seen a dog like Ron before. English Toy Terriers are on the Kennel Club Vulnerable Native Breed Register, with less than 100 puppies registered per year. A typical Terrier, a walk is not quite enough. Ron still likes to play occasional games, and stays with me all day in case he is missing out on something exciting (and is usually not)!

Our more recent additions to the family are Vinnie, our English Toy Terrier youngster, and his litter sister Bridget. They are confident and fearless, and also a little bit loud when someone rings the doorbell, we are working on this!

In May 2024 we lost our beloved Whippet Stanley, he was 12 years old. He was Ron's closest companion and our hearts are broken with the loss. He will remain in our photos as he was a big part of our lives. You will also see pictures of Gracie, our tiny pensioner English Toy Terrier that left us early in 2020 at the grand age of 16. Her memory lives on, as do the lessons that she taught us and our regular guests.
